At Driving Lessons Pro, we aim to provide a fair, transparent, and customer-focused return policy for all driving lessons and courses purchased. Please read the following terms carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities when requesting refunds, cancellations, or changes to your booking.
1. General Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be issued for unused driving lessons or lesson packages, provided they meet the conditions outlined below.
-Refunds apply only to unused lessons.
-Completed lessons cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
-Refunds must be requested by the original purchaser.
2. Cooling-Off Period (UK Consumer Law)
If you book lessons online, over the phone, or via our website, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer regulations.
During this period, you may request a refund for unused lessons, minus:
-Any lessons already taken, charged at the standard single-lesson hourly rate.
-Any admin or processing fees (if applicable).
-If you begin your lessons during the cooling-off period, you automatically agree that the cooling-off terms are adjusted to exclude completed lessons.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
To ensure fairness to instructors and other learners:
Standard Lessons
-Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
-Lessons cancelled within 48 hours are charged in full.
Intensive Courses
-Intensive course bookings require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for cancellation or major schedule changes.
-Cancellations within 7 days may incur a partial or full charge depending on instructor availability and preparation time.
4. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
-Payments are returned to the original payment method.
-Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 working days.
-Stripe, PayPal, or card processing fees are non-refundable (as these providers do not return fees to us).
5. Lesson Packages
Discounted lesson bundles or block bookings are refunded as follows:
-Completed lessons are charged at the standard single-lesson rate.
-The remaining balance (if any) is refunded accordingly.
-Packages expire 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
6. Instructor Unavailability
In the rare event your instructor becomes unavailable due to illness, emergency, or operational reasons:
-We will offer a replacement instructor, or
-Reschedule your lessons at no additional cost.
If neither option suits you, you may request a refund for all unused lessons.
7. Driving Test Bookings
Driving Lessons Pro does not control DVSA policies on test cancellations.
-DVSA cancellation rules apply.
-If the DVSA cancels a test due to bad weather or other reasons, the lesson time around the test is non-refundable unless the instructor chooses otherwise.
8. No-Show Policy
If a learner does not attend a booked lesson without prior notice:
-The lesson is classed as completed and is non-refundable.
9. Misconduct or Safety Violations
Instructors reserve the right to end a lesson if a learner:
-Behaves in an unsafe or abusive manner, or
-Arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Such lessons are non-refundable.
